Earon A. Jensen, Crescent -- Earon A. Jensen, 85, much loved and respect e d husband, father, and grandfather passed away on May 8, 1982.
Born on November 13, 1896 in Richfield, Utah to Rasmus N. and Amelia Nei l sen Jensen. Married Ogunita Pace on June 7, 1920 in Junction, Utah. Ear o n will be remembered most by his family, friends and associates as a m a n of unquestionable integrity who gave freely of himself, capable o f a de ep love for his family and country. Member, LDS Church. Veteran o f Worl d War One serving his country in the battles of Chateau Thierry, A rgonn e Forest, St. Michel, Batteau Wood and Verdun. Served one year in t he arm y of occupation, Cobierz, Germany. Served as member of the Salt La ke Coun ty ration board during World War Two. Active member of the Americ an Legio n holding numerous leadership positions including: Commander o f Post #3 5 and Commander of District 8, member of the 40 and 8. Former s uperviso r of large grocery chain. Directed all stores in the state of Ne vada. For mer poultry farmer, Crescent, Utah.
Survived by: His wife, one daughter, Mrs. Alva (Betty Lou) Fairbourn, Cr e scent, Utah; three grandchildren, Juanita Fairbourn Rathke, James B. Fa ir bourn, both of Crescent; Earon A. Fairbourn, Union, Utah; six great-gr an d children; two brothers, Marion R., Sigurd, Utah; E. Elmo, Roy, Utah ; tw o sisters, Mrs. James (Erma) Monroe, Conoga Park, Calif.; Mrs. Art ( Mida ) Bertola, Murray, Utah.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, one p.m., in the Goff Mortuar y C hapel, 8090 South State, where friends may call Tuesday, 6-8 p.m. an d Wed nesday one hour prior to services. Burial, Sunset Gardens of the Va lley w ith Military Honors.
