Carl M Stott "Loving Husband and Father" Our loving husband and father , C arl M Stott, departed peacefully from this world early Wednesday morn ing , July 6, 2006, in Taylorsville, Utah. Carl was born June 18, 1929 i n Man ti, Utah to Girven and Helen Maylett Stott. He was a devoted husban d, fat her and grandfather and a faithful member of The Church of Jesus C hrist o f Latter-day Saints, serving in many church callings throughout h is life , including serving as a missionary in the Northern California Mi ssion, B ishop, Temple Square tour guide and two church service missions . Carl mar ried his eternal sweetheart, Shirley Elaine Call, January 19 , 1953 in th e Salt Lake Temple. He served for two years in the US Army a s a Chaplain s assistant. Upon returning from the Army he graduated fro m Brigham Youn g University in 1956 with a degree in Accounting. Served a s president o f the Granite credit Union for 29 years, retiring in 1991 . He continued s erving on the Granite C.U. Board of Directors through 20 02 as well as ser ving on many local and national credit union boards. Su rvived by his wif e of 53 years, Shirley, Taylorsville; children: Caroly n Cleveland, Salt L ake City; Shari Pincock, West Jordan; Jema (Troy) McO mber, Anacortes, WA ; Lance Stott, McCall, ID; 11 grandchildren; brother , Kent (Julie) Stott , Phoenix, AZ; numerous other relatives and countles s friends. He will b e sorely missed, as he was an incredibly kind, lovin g man who was alway s serving others. Each of our lives are richer for ha ving known him. Fune ral services will be held Monday, 11:00 a.m. at th e Bennion Heights 3rd W ard, 5775 South 2700 West. A viewing will be hel d Sunday, 6-8 p.m. at McD ougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road an d Monday at the church on e hour prior to service. Interment, Redwood Mem orial Estates.
