- Obituary:
Kunigunda Kreider passed from this earth on April 3, 2015. She passed pe a cefully in her home and farm at Nixa Missouri. She was 83 years old. Pe op le who knew her called her Gunda.
Gunda was born in Wallersberg, Bavaria, Germany on December 10th 193 1 t o Andreas and Maria (Zeis) Bienlein. Gunda survived WWII then in 195 3 me t the love of her life James David Kreider. She came to the states w ith h er husband and first Child Jim in 1955 and became a United States c itize n in 1956. Together they had four children, James Andreas (Jim) Kre ider , David Alfred (Dave) Kreider, Robert Phillip (Robbie) Kreider and B arbar a Teresa (Barbie) Kreider-Luce.
Gunda is blessed with 10 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. T w o daughters-in-law Debbie (Neil) Kreider, Jane (Aldredge) Kreider, a n d a son-in-law George Luce.
Gunda was preceded in death by her mother Maria in 1940, husband James D a vid in 1970 due to a farm accident, a brother Alfred Bienlein, and he r fa ther Andreas Bienlein.
Gunda and her husband James David moved from Greene County to Nixa in 19 6 4 purchasing a farm on AA Highway and recently celebrated the farm’s 50 t h year of production. She was a lifelong devoted catholic and a membe r o f Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church.
Gunda was always involved with her children at Nixa schools. She was a b i g supporter of the Nixa FFA - Future Farmers of America, the Nixa ban d pr ogram, and Nixa Sports. At one time she even coached a little leagu e base ball team. Everyone was welcome at her home and farm especially th e frien ds of her sons and daughter. No one ever went away hungry. She en joyed th e company of young people very much.
Gunda was active in the Democratic Party advising and campaigning for h e r son Jim Kreider who served in the Missouri House of Representatives 1 99 3 to 2003 as well as many other successful candidates.
Burial in Resurrection Cemetery.
