KAY BALLIF
HOOPER – Kay Ballif passed away March 25, 2013, one day short of her 54 t h birthday. She died at home in Hooper, Utah, under the ever present a n d constant companionship of her loving mother and family .
She was born at the Dee Hospital in Ogden, Utah on March 26, 1959, t o S . Lyman and MarJean Carter Ballif .
Kay attended the Ogden/Weber Education Center during her years in schoo l . She also attended Primary for the Handicapped. As an adult, she spen t m any years in the Special Needs Mutual, where she loved participatin g wit h her many friends. She especially loved the yearly musicals and th e cost umes she wore. She helped her mother take care of her brother, Bra d unti l he died 15 years ago. Kay accompanied her mother to the cemeter y to vis it the graves of both her father and brother almost daily sinc e their dea ths.
Kay was a life long member of the LDS church. She attended the Wildwoo d W ard in Hooper. For thirty-five years Kay, along with her mother, prep are d snacks and activities for each child attending Primary nursery clas s .
Surviving relatives are her mother, MarJean Carter Ballif, sister, Jean n e and Scott Spencer, sister, Ann and Dick Hunter, and brother, Stan an d V alerie Ballif. She was preceded in death by her father, S. Lyman Ball if a nd her brother, Brad Carter Ballif .
Funeral services will be held Friday, March 29, 2013, at 12:00 p.m. at t h e Wildwood Ward, 4675 West 5600 South, Hooper, Utah. A viewing for fami l y and friends will be held Thursday at Myers Roy Mortuary, 5865 South 1 90 0 West from 6 to 8 p.m. and Friday at the church from 10:30 to 11:45 a .m . prior to services.
Interment, Hooper City Cemetery.
