She served valiantly in many church callings and was deepl y involve d in family history. After her husband retired, they served thr ee more mi ssions together; at Nauvoo Restoration, as mission Presiden t s in Lancing , MI and a Family History mission in Omaha, NE.
The consummate homemaker, Donna was very skilled in the art of runni n g a household and raising children. It was not in her nature to find fa ul t with anyone but only to look for the good in everyone.
Donna's entire life was defined by discipleship, charity and service f o r her family, fellow man and her faith. She didn't like attention and n ev er sought the spotlight, but was quietly in the background always doin g f or others. Donna was a frugal and resourceful woman whose mantra was : Us e it up, wear it out, make it do, or do without!
She was often heard to say, "I have had a good life. I can't image heav e n being any better than I have it right here." It was only towards th e ve ry end of her life, while enduring the effects of old age, that sh e chang ed her mind and decided she'd like to find out. She was anxious a nd read y to return home to her Father in Heaven and loved ones there.
She was preceded in death by her parents, daughter Joanne, son Craig a n d grandson, Taylor John (TJ) Kennedy.
She is survived by her husband, James Calvin Taylor, children: Geneva Pe a rson (Ron), Vivian Wayment (Don), (Janice Taylor), ShirLene Kennedy (Go rd on), Arthur (Cheryl), Calvin (Carolyn), Carolyn Taylor (Craig Chambers ) , Evan (Julie), and William (Stephanie).
