Sandra Silvester Birks, age 66, passed away after a valiant struggle wi t h her health Tuesday, Sept. 4, 2001.
Born June 11, 1935. Sandy grew up in Riverside, Utah. Married Albert Edw i n Birks Feb. 20, 1956 in Riverside, Utah and were sealed in the Oaklan d T emple. Sandy was a retired nurse. Enjoyed being an active member of t he L DS Church and participating in Relief Society activities. She love d to ma ke afghans for those in need and her loved ones. She was also a n avid pen guin collector and enjoyed displaying her collection to visito rs. She ha d just recently celebrated her 45th wedding anniversary with h usband, Al.
She is survived by her husband; daughter, Kimberly Ann (Danilo)
Ardito; son, Christopher Birks; stepsons, Dan (Connie) Bullock and Joh n B ullock; grandchildren, Steven (Stephanie Bateman) Hendricks, Michae l (Dar ci) Hendricks, Kenneth (Kris) Perkins, Chrystal Lee Evans, Tiffan y Rose B ushnell, and Doug, Chad and Brian Bullock; step grandchildren, D anielle a nd Nicole Ardito; great-grandchildren, Shadrack James Hendrick s and Shamb ray Rose Perkins; sister, Peggy Justesen; brothers, William H . (Nancy) Si lvester, Kyle (Jacque) Silvester, Ned (Rosalie) Silvester, a nd Clarence ( Marge) Silvester.
Preceded in death by her parents; son, Edwin Birks; daughter, Catherin e J ulaine.
