Delbert Howard Birks, 70, died May 20, 1994 in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Born July 5, 1923 in Parker, Idaho to Orval Edwin and Minnie Maude Whipp l e Birks. Married Emma Melva Reese in the Salt Lake LDS Temple on Janua r y 30, 1969. He was a mechanic and security guard at Armour, and serve d i n the Navy during World War II. He and his wife fulfilled an LDS Miss io n to Los Angeles. He loved his grandchildren.
Survived by four stepsons, Thomas Jensen, Jay Jensen, Roddy Jensen, Sa l t Lake Valley; Dell Jensen, Kennewick, Wash.; one stepdaughter, Sue Bag le y, Rexburg, Idaho; 32 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; four bro the rs, Albert Birks, Boyd Birks, Jay Birks, Salt Lake Valley; Clarence B irks , Eureka, Calif.; five sisters, Ruby Loberg, Rosella Moore, June Che ss, N ampa, Idaho; Della Marie Bourse, Ila Fae Henrie, Salt Lake Valley.
Funeral services Tuesday, May 24, 1994, at 2 p.m. in the Nampa 9th LDS W a rd Chapel, 504-11th Avenue North, Nampa, Idaho. Friends may call Monda y , 6-8 p.m. at Goff Mortuary, 8090 South State, Midvale, and Tuesday on e h our prior to services at the church. Interment at the Kohlerlawn Ceme tery , Nampa, Idaho.
