Clem L. McEwen, 85, of Panguitch, Utah died March 20, 1997, in St. Georg e , Utah.
He was born, August 15, 1911, in Panguitch, Utah to Edward Riley and Ell e n Lovina LeFevre McEwen. He married Irene Houston, September 7, 1938. T h e marriage was solemnized in the St. George LDS Temple March 12, 1960 . H e is survived by his wife, Irene; son, Clem and Geralyn McEwen, St. G eorg e, UT; daughter, Melaine and Ken Olsen, St. George, UT; nine grandch ildre n; four great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters-in-law: J.L. an d Fern C rawford, Frank and Cecile Orton, Sam and Mary Jo Houston, Ted an d Christi ne Owens, Gene and Zelda Gerstner, Roene Nelson, Opal Miller, D orothy Hou ston, Tennys Houston.
He was preceded in death by his parents, five brothers and five sister s : Hortense (John) Excell, Nora Ann, Mathew, Douglas (Effie), Eugene (Fl or ence), Bertha (Orion) Salisbury, Nettie (Errol) Dowdell, Homer (Idella ) , Wallace (Dorathy). Brothers-in-law: Reid Miller, Fenn E. Nelson, Ja y Ho uston, Ray Houston, Dee Houston, Hoover Houston.
Funeral services Monday, March 24, 1997, 1 p.m. in the Panguitch LDS Sta k e Center, 550 S. 100 W. in Panguitch, with Bishop Kenneth R. Miller off ic iating. Friends may call the Stake Center in Panguitch Sunday evenin g fro m 7 to 9 p.m. and again on Monday morning from 11:30 a.m. to 12: 3 0 p.m . Burial will be with Military Rites by the Panguitch American Le gion Pos t # 25 in the Panguitch Cemetery.
