Our beautiful Emma Hedlund, 91, passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 1 5 , 2014 surrounded by her loving family. Emma was born in St. George, Ut a h on May 14, 1923. She was the oldest of 9 siblings born to Gordon an d Bl anche Sullivan. Emma was outgoing, welcoming, and her kindness and g enero sity always brought out the best in everyone around her. Emma wa s a woma n of grace, charisma, charm and beauty; both inside and out. Sh e was a ke en and hardworking business woman for over 30 years at Hedlun d Fabric an d Supply. You would never see her without her shears in hand . She was ele cted to the Whos Who of American Business Women. She adore d traveling an d took numerous trips with her children and grandchildre n all over the gl obe; Spain being her favorite. Her absolute favorite pa ssion was dancin g and her foot would always be tapping. Emma was a tirel ess and selfles s member of committees to support The Phoenix Little Thea tre, Mental Heal th Guild Society and Phoenix Honors Cotillion. Emma wa s a person of fait h and lived life serving others. We mourn an irreplace able presence in ou r lives. She was a true guiding light for anyone tha t was lucky enough t o have her grace their lives. Emma was an amazing ma triarch that taught a bout the many joys in life as well to be strong. Em ma was predeceased b y her eldest daughter, Melinda Millsap.
