Ruth Talbot 3/8/1917 ~ 7/30/2008 Ruth Western Talbot, age 91, died Wedne s day July 30, 2008 at the Millard Care Center in Delta. The 12t h chil d o f 13 born to John Henry and Musetta Palmer Western on March 8, 1917 i n De seret, UT. She married George Cluff Talbot on Sept. 5, 193 4 in th e Sal t Lake Temple. He died July 8, 1991.
Ruth was a staunch member of the LDS Church. Held many positions: Reli e f Society President (twice), Relief Society Counselor, Primary Counselo r , MIA Counselor, Hinckley Ward Choir Organist, Ward Organist, Ward Mus i c Director, Fund Raiser for the new Delta West Stake Center in Hinckle y . She and Cluff enjoyed temple work, and attended the temple often an d we re Stake Missionaries for several years.
Ruth loved music and touched many lives through her piano playing an d a s a music teacher. Ruth will be missed by all those who knew her. Sh e wa s a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother.
Survived by children: Lyla Rae Morris, Delta; Sherlene (Hal) Evans, Panq u itch Lake; Car l Cluff "Butch" (Lorrillee) Talbot, Russell W. (Leslie ) Ta lbot, Marcia Ruth (Gary) Day, Enoch; 20 grandchildren, 48 great-gran dchil dren and 16 great-great grandchildren with three on the way. Sister : Bert ha Barton, Midvale; Grayce Pace, Delta. Preceded in death by broth ers an d sisters: Ecil, LaVerne, Belva, Ines, Edna, Lois, Orville, Faun , Lesli e and Paul.
Funeral services will be held Monday, Aug. 4, 2008 a t 11 a.m. at the Hi n ckley, UT Ward Chapel. Friends may call Sun. evening, 6:30-8 p.m., Nick l e Mortuary, Delta, and Mon. morning at the church, 9:30-10:40 a.m. Buri a l Hinckley Cemetery.
