- Obituary:
Dan passed away peacefully in his sleep on April 14, 2014. Dan was bor n A pril 14, 1934, in Fillmore UT to Alma N. Iverson and Florence McKee I vers on.
Dan served honorably for 4 years in the US Navy. He married Naon Hopki n s in July of 1957. They had a daughter, Shannon. Dan and Naon later div or ced but remained close friends. He married Christa Neukirchner in Marc h o f 1967. Upon retirement Dan and Christa lived in St. George UT unti l Chri sta's passing on May 26, 2011. Dan then moved to SLC to be close t o his d aughter, Shannon.
He is survived by his daughters Shannon (Eric) Steur & Christine (Ross ) B abb; 4 grandchildren; brother Steve (Cindy) Iverson; sisters Loraell e (Ji m) Weddle, Jilleen (Bill) Richeson, Dee (Dent) Mellen, Pat Rhodes ; many n ieces and nephews. Also preceded in death by brother Jack Iverso n, sister s Darnell Iverson and Meridene Jorgensen, brother-in-law Kent J orgensen , and nephew Bradley Jorgensen.
Dan was a quiet, soft-spoken, sweet, gentle man. He was loved and respec t ed by all who knew him. He will be greatly missed. The family would li k e to extend our heartfelt gratitude to Naon who, along with Shannon, ne ve r left Dan's side during his time of need. As per Dan's wishes no serv ice s will be held. In honor of Dan please donate to the American Lung As soci ation.
