- Obituary:
John (Jack) Kelleth Bushnell, 79 passed away on Christmas Eve 2 013 in S t . George, Utah after a long battle with Alzheimer's disease.
John was born on September 5, 1934 the second Child of Kelleth and Eln a B ushnell in Flowell, Utah.
He graduated from South High School and attended the University of Uta h . He was a member of the LDS Church and could often be found reading sc ri pture in his chair in the middle of the night. He was proud to serve i n t he Korean War for the country he loved. He was a long standing membe r o f the appraisal institute and earned his MAI. He married Joanne Knigh t, t hey had one son, John Kevin Bushnell. Later he married Wanda Watts o f Kan osh, Utah. They had three children: Lori, Jeff and Denise. His prid e an d joy were his grandchildren, Johnathon Brazell (24) Aviana Bushne l l (21 ) Jordan Brazell (14) and Dusty (the dog). John's gracious open h eart wa s a gift to many, always so full of love, humor and support, neve r judgin g. His warm laugh (and whistle) filled a room. Someone once sai d "John ne ver met a stranger". He has left us all with heavy hearts, bu t with a gif t of humility unlike any other. He has been and will continu e to be great ly loved and missed.
He is preceded in death by his mother and father. He is survived by hi s w ife Wanda, children and grandchildren; sisters and brothers in law, J oan n and Perry Kjar; Eileen and Bill Birkes; and his brother, Howard Bus hnel l.
Services will be held in St. George, Utah on Friday January 3, 2014 Frie n ds and family are welcome to come pay their respects beforehand beginni n g at 11:30 AM; services will begin at 1:00 PM at the Mulberry LDS Chap e l - 3381 S.
