    • Obituary:
      Louie B. Duncan St. George, UT - Louie B. Duncan, 90, passed away Septem b er 6, 2008, from causes incident to age. She was born January 29, 1918 , i n Meadow, Utah, to Howard and Minerva Barkdull. She married James Sta nle y Duncan March 25, 1937. The marriage was later solemnized in the Man ti U tah LDS Temple. They made their home in Meadow where they raised 4 c hildr en. In 1963, the family moved to Las Vegas and in later life return ed t o Utah to make their home in St. George.

      Louie had a strong testimony of the gospel and was an active member of T h e Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She served in many calli ng s, including a full-time mission with her spouse. She dedicated many y ear s as an ordinance worker in the Las Vegas and St. George Temples.

      Louie was a wonderful homemaker. She loved to make quilts, garden and sp e nd time with her grandchildren. She will be remembered as a sweet, kin d a nd classy lady - the one with the gorgeous white hair.

      Louie was preceded in death by her sweetheart, Stan, and eldest son, Ph i l Stanley Duncan (1940-2004). She is survived by daughters, Joan (Jim ) Br ooks, of Las Vegas, NV; Kathryn (Max) Rose of St. George, UT; son, J ame s Kay (Peggy) Duncan of Washington, UT; 16 grandchildren and 32 great -gra ndchildren.

      Funeral services will be held Wednesday, September 10th, 2008 at the Met c alf Mortuary, 288 W. St. George Blvd, St. George, UT. Interment will b e i n the Meadow Cemetery later that day.
