Our beloved father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend Charles Hom e r Duncan, age 88 passed away peacefully May 13, 2013.
Chuck was born June 9, 1924 in a sandstone house in Meadow, Utah. He i s t he son of Charles Edwin Duncan and Jean Urie Duncan. He grew up in Pr ovo , Utah with his older brother Faust, his younger sister Anna, and bro the r Bill.
As a young man Chuck was stationed during WWII at a submarine base in Ko d iak, Alaska. He was a sergeant in the Army. He fell in love with Alask a a nd travelled there often during his later years. He had many storie s to t ell about his Army days and how cold it was at the Army base.
He met his sweetheart, Adele Murdock in Salt Lake City. They were marri e d in the Salt Lake Temple in 1945. They spent their early years in Log a n and settled in the Canyon Rim area where they welcomed the additio n o f their children Kim and Shane. He was a wonderful husband and fathe r wh o devoted his life to his family.
After Adele passed away, he nurtured a special friendship with Beth Ande r son and was her constant companion for 22 years.
Chuck had a great love for the outdoors. He was an avid hunter, fisherm a n and gardener and boasted that while he was Scout Master, all of the b oy s obtained their Eagle Scout award.

Chuck will be missed by all who knew him. He was a sterling example of h o w we should live our lives…love much, live simply, help those who nee d i t and keep smiling until the very end!
