Richfield, Utah - Harold Alexander Boyter, age 86, passed away at his ho m e in Richfield on Tuesday, January 28, 2020. Harold was born on Apri l 16 , 1933 to Carlisle and Julia LeFevre Boyter in Panguitch, Utah. He g radua ted from Panguitch High School with the class of 1951. He travele d to Ric hfield in search of employment and found a job at Christensen Ma chine an d Supply as a welder. It was there that he met Reta Jean Christe nsen. The y were married on September 2, 1952 in the Manti LDS temple. To gether the y raised 4 sons and 1 daughter. Harold was a hard worker. H e started a w elding business in 1955 with his brother George where he wo rked for mos t of his life. From 1959 through 1987 he also operated a Har ley-Davidso n dealership. Harold loved to collect vises, and enjoyed yar d work. He e specially loved spending time teaching his sons how to wor k with him. H e could fix anything except the crack of dawn. Harold is s urvived by hi s wife, Reta Jean Boyter; his sons: Boyd Boyter, Chris (Kar en) Boyter, Ka rl (Ronda) Boyter, and Brice Boyter, all of Richfield; 1 5 grandchildren a nd 18 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death b y both of his paren ts; a daughter: Tasha Boyter; a grandaughter: Laure n Haaga; brothers: Mil ton Boyter, George Boyter, and Clinton Boyter; sis ters: Julia Steel, Neuc ile Henrie, and Belle Smith. Funeral services wi ll be held on Tuesday, F ebruary 4, 2020 at 11:00 A.M. in the Richfield 7 th ward LDS Ward Chapel , where friends may call for viewing Monday eveni ng from 6-8 and Tuesda y morning from 9:30 to 10:30 prior to the services . Burial will be in th e Richfield Cemetery under the care of Springer T urner Funeral Home in Ri chfield and Salina.
