- Obituary:
Margaret Lucile Petty Labrum was born June 10, 1916 in Pocatello, Idah o , to Robert Thomas and Rosa Beutler Petty. She was called back to her h ea venly home on March 19, 2008 in Midvale, Utah.
She is survived by sons, Robert Lee (Diana), Michael James (Marilyn); da u ghter, Beverley; grandchildren, Randy, Michael, Robby, Lindsey, and Ani s e Labrum; seven great-grand-children, McKenzie, Justin, Sydney, Kylee , La uren, Baylee, and Todd Labrum; a sister, Mary Jane Rasmusen; a siste r-in - law, Helen Labrum; and several nieces and nephews. She was preced e d i n death by her parents and husband, Theron Lee Labrum.
She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Sai n ts. She loved children and taught in the Primary and Relief Society. S h e was a temple worker in the Las Vegas Temple. She taught in Junior Hi g h for over 26 years in English and Drama. She also did Social Work in N am pa, Idaho. As our mother, she was our best listener, our best friend . Sh e forged a deep bond of love between her children, "my three angels" , a s she referred to us. She brought all the magic and fun into Childhoo d. S he prayed with us and for us every night. She loved to dance and pla y th e piano. She was in love with life and people. She never knew a stra nger ! She showed great compassion for others. "You will always light ou r way , Mama!"
Funeral Services will be held at 12 Noon, Tuesday, March 25, 200 8 a t t h e Meadow Ward, 125 E. Center, Meadow, Utah. A Viewing will be h el d at Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary, 4760 S. State Street, Murray, Utah from 6 - 8 p.m. on Mon., March 24th and also on Tues. at the Meadow Ward from 11 -1 2 no on prior to the Services.
Interment: Meadow Cemetery.
