- Obituary:
James Neale Jensen (89) passed away April 9, 2013, of causes inciden t t o age. He was born July 27, 1923, son of Frederick Young Jensen, Jr . an d Madora LaVerna Rogerson, in Monticello, Utah. He earned his Associ ate s of Science degree from Utah Technical College. Following his WW I I serv ice in the US Army Air Core as a radio operator in the B-17 bomb er, he ma rried Barbara Besendorfer in the LDS Salt Lake City Temple on N ovember 10 , 1948. They served a mission together in the South Carolina C olumbia Mis sion. They have been together for 64+ years.
He loved to fish with his children and grandchildren, to ride motorcycle s , and to hunt. He was an avid sports fan. He used his carpentry skill s t o build his own home as well as assisted his children with their home s. H e worked at Hill Air Force Base in the photography division and owne d hi s own TV repair business and Jensen Wedding Photography.
He was a member of the Sons of the Utah Pioneers, Junior Chamber of Comm e rce, and the Centerville Recycles. He was a member of the LDS church se rv ing faith fully in many capacities including 15 years in the Bountifu l Te mple.
Neale was a strong influence for good in the lives of his children and g r andchildren. His righteous example and strong testimony will be a herit ag e to al l who knew him.
He is survived by his wife Barbara; his four children James N. Jensen J r . (Ada), Diana (Marte) Green, Patty (Vaughn) Hutchinson, and Susan Jens en , 20 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren (soon to be 34), and 3 grea t-g reat-grandchildren, brothers Lisle and Clyde. He was preceded in deat h b y his brother Quinn.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, April 13, 2013, a t t he LDS Canyon Ward Building, 160 South 300 East. Friends and family m ay c all Friday evening, 6-8 p.m., at Russon Brothers Mortuary, 295 N. Ma in St . Bountiful and Saturday one hour prior to services. Interment wil l b e a t the Centerville Cemetery
