- Obituary:
Maureen Stout Clark Eldredge, our dear and loving mother, passed away Fr i day, May 5, 2017. Born to Dewey and Viola Stout on March 18, 1938, an d th e youngest of eight children, she was adored by all who knew her. Sh e san g, played the piano, twirled the baton, baked delicious bread and c innamo n rolls, dressed up like a clown, traveled, worked in the temple , read th e scriptures, served in the Salt Lake Inner City Mission, birth ed 17 chil dren, welcomed many foster children, and loved everyone. She c ould give y ou a great game of chess, Othello, or Scrabble. She lived a j oyous life f illed with enthusiasm!!!!!!!!!!!!! (She really, really, real ly loved excl amation points!!!!!!)
She married Justin Clark on September 16, 1955 and they had Barbara (Rog e r Stout), Steven (deceased)(Sharon), Douglas (deceased), Burton (Jeanet te ), Diane (Steve McLean), David (Crystal), Laura (Les Westberg), Bill ( Myr na), Christine (Brian Mickelsen), Jeannette (Clark Shaw), Howard (Tri na) , Catherine (Gabe Hammond), Richard (Sarah), Mary (Cameron Davies), J usti n, Jonathan, and Eldon (Pilar). Wait. Eldon might be a grandson. Som etime s we are unsure!!!!!!! She has 74 grandchildren and 30 great-grandc hildre n.
She married Harold Eldredge on May 27, 2004 and they had 8 happy years t o gether before he passed away in 2012. He made her golden years sparkl e an d we all love him very much.
Mom is preceded in death by her husband, parents, siblings Don (Marie) S t out, Merle (Jerry Budd), Marilyn Stout, Joan Stout, Byron (Naomi) Stou t , JoLyn Fitzgerald, two sons, and grandson Joshua McLean. She is surviv e d by her cherished brother and sister-in-law, Mel and LaNeta Stout, an d d ear brother-in-law Dale and his sweet wife Thuy Fitzgerald. She has j oyou sly awaited the day that she could be reunited with her loved ones o n th e other side, and we celebrate her passing with happy tears.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, May 10th at the Riverton 7th Wa r d, 12459 S. Dansie Way, at 11am. A viewing will be held Tuesday, May 9t h , from 6-8pm at Broomhead Funeral Home, 2200 West 12600 South, and als o 9 :30-10:45am on Wednesday.
