Irene Marie Peterson, 72 passed away August 1, 2000 in Salt Lake City, U t ah.
Born July 22, 1928 in East Ely, Nevada, the daughter of Fredrick Jerry G a lloway and Ella Marie White Galloway.
Married DeVerl Peterson March 9, 1947 in Salt Lake City, Utah. DeVerl pr e ceded her in death.
Irene was known for the love for her grandchildren, leading the famil y i n many activities and for her love of her dogs Hycee and Spinner. Sh e als o enjoyed sewing and was an excellent seamstress. In her passing, w e cele brate her life. Irene loved her family as we all loved her. She wi ll be m issed by her brother, daughter, grandchildren, great-grandchildre n, niece s and nephews.
Survived by daughter, Linda Rasmussen; six grandchildren, Robert Smith , C hristy Ortega, Jeremy Smith, Cory Smith, Justin Smith, Ryann Rasmusse n; f our great-grandchildren; nephews, Roy Whipple, Hal Whipple; and man y othe r nieces and nephews; brother, LaMont Jones.
Preceded in death by husband; son, Jonnie Lee; brothers Wayne and Ralph.
Graveside services will be held Friday, August 4, 2000, 11:30 a.m. a t L a r kin Sunset Gardens, 10600 South 1700 East. Visitation will be hel d Fr iday 10-11 a.m. at Memorial Estates Mortuary, 5850 South 900 East.
