- Obituary:
Louisa Benson Greenwood returned to her Heavenly Father on July 2, 199 6 , dying of natural causes.
Born October 10, 1905 in Whitney, Idaho, daughter of George Taft and Sar a h Dunkley Benson. She graduated from BYU and taught school in Idaho an d A rizona. She married Quentin Edward Greenwood, July 23, 1931 in the Lo ga n Temple. She spent her married life in New York, New Jersey, New Mexi co , California and Utah, serving two missions for the church, one to Fay ett e, New York, and one to the London Temple, England. She held variou s lead ership roles in the church and led a life of total dedication to f amily a nd church.
She is indeed cherished by her family who will always feel her nurturi n g love. "Her children arise and call her blessed."
She is survived by her husband, Quentin Edward Greenwood; sons, Donald a n d David; daughter, Janet Devou, all of California; and daughter, Evely n S trange, of Scottsdale, Arizona; 10 grandchildren and 15 great grandch ildr en; sisters, Margaret Keller, of Idaho; Lera Whittle of Provo; and S ara h Eveleth, of California. Preceded in death by seven brothers.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 6, 1996 at 11 a.m. at the S a lt Lake 14th Ward, 142 West 200 North. Friends and family may call Frid a y evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Larkin Mortuary, 260 East South Temp l e and at the ward, one hour prior to the services. Interment approximat el y 2:30 p.m., American Fork City Cemetery .
