On page 19, the author states that it was this Christopher wh o marrie d a Sarah Whipple, who (after Christopher died, leaving Sara h a widow) su bsequently married Ezekiel Whipple, the son of Daniel). Marriage: Was it really this Christopher Whipple whose wife Sarah Whipp l e later married Ezekiel? [No, even though] Henry E. Whipple (A Brief Ge ne alory of the Whipple Families) thinks so. N. Combs, in a note to the W hip ple Website dated 28 Mar 2003, points out that volume 15 of Arnold' s Vita l Record of Rhode Island (the one that indexes marriages from th e Provide nce Gazette), records the marriage of Mrs. Sarah Whipple, wido w of Christ opher, and Ezekiel Whipple, at North Providence. However, Nor ma further s tates that Arnold's Vital Record of Rhode Island 2:4:43, "re cords the M a ch 6, 1785 marriage between Christopher Whipple, of Thomas , dec'd. an d Sarah Cushing, of Elijah, dec'd."
