- Obituary:
Maggie Shelton Bushnell 1918 ~ 2005 Lessie Bushnell, 86, passed away pea c efully at her home in Tooele, Utah. Lessie was born June 20 t h 1918 t o C lemant Chapman Shelton and Sallie Elizabeth Hall and was one of ten c hild ren. She said of the occasion, "I came into this life with my best f rien d and twin sister Dessie. We were delivered on the front porch of ou r hom e by my daddy"! Grandma loved life and lived it to the fullest! Gar dening , crafts and cooking were her hobbies. Fishing and quilting w er e her tal ents and family genealogy was her passion.
Member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She is surviv e d by two brothers, Ennis and Dorothy and her children Beverly Taylor (D el bert), Marlene Peterson (Ross), Colleen Holcomb (Ken), Bonita Burgi Fi s h (Mike); son in-la w Bill Burgi, and Lowry Avon Bushnell M.D. (Becky) . L essie was preceded in death by seven siblings, first husband Ernest B urns , her lifelong love Joseph Avon Bushnell, her daughter Yvonne Melvil le, h er grandsons Byron Dirk Melville and Zachary Ross Peterson, a grand daught er Wendy Holcomb, and finally two great-grandsons Jacob Scott Pete rson an d Michael Scott Middaugh.
Funeral services will be Thursday March 24t h at 11:00 a.m. at Tooele 26 t h Ward, 1025 West Utah Ave. (200 N). Friends and family may call 9:3 0 t o 10:30 prior to service and Wed. evening 6- 8 p.m. at Tate Mortuar y 11 0 S. Main Street, Tooele.
