Marva Rawlings Corbridge 1913 ~ 2004 Early in the morning on March 1, 20 0 4, Marva Rawlings Corbridge, 90, passed away peacefully at the home o f he r daughter. She was born December 28, 1913 in Lewiston, Cache Co. Ut ah, t o Marvin Asa and Amelia Talbot Rawlings. She married Louis Egbert C orbrid ge on December 19, 1933 in Logan, Utah. Marva was a long time resi dent o f the Magna/Hunter area. On April 2, 1958 her husband Louis was ki lled i n a car accident leaving her a widow with five children to rear al one, th e youngest being six months old at the time.
She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Mar v a devoted her life to her children, making sure they had what they need ed . She stayed home with them rather than going to work and leaving the m i n someone else' s care. She served as Room Mother and on the PTA boar d. H er reward is that she has five independent, strong, self-reliant chi ldre n that honor her. Marva was survived by her children, R. Quin Corbri dge , of Riverside CA; Carla (Dale) Whitney, of Tucson AZ; Caren (Paul) T homa s, of West Valley City UT; R. Corrie (Marie) Corbridge, of Perry UT ; an d Cal Burke (Francine) Corbridge, of West Valley City UT; 18 grandch ildre n; 24 great-grandchildren with two more great-grandchildren on th e way.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; her son, Marvin L o uis; daughter, Kathleen; grandson, Todd Kenneth Corbridge; and her brot he r, Asa McKay Rawlings. Funeral Services will be held 11 a.m. Friday, M arc h 5, 2004 at the Hunter 23rd ward building at 3665 South 6000 West. F rien ds may call Thursday 6-8 p.m. at Peel Funeral Home, 8525 West 2700 S outh , Magna, and 10-10:45 a.m. at the Church. Interment: 2: 30 p.m. Fair vie w Cemetery, Fairview, Idaho.
