Generous, smart, and darkly funny. Who was Joan Hansen Ostler? Joan pass e d away Monday morning Aug 19, 2019 at her home of nearly 60 years. Bor n J anuary 1, 1936 in Yakima, Washington to Betty and Ted Hansen, she gre w u p in Salt Lake City and graduated from South High School. Joan marrie d Pa ul Ostler on August 7, 1953 in Elko, NV. Her pastimes included gam e show s (she never missed Wheel of Fortune or Jeopardy!), puzzles, readi ng, cat s, crocheting, and spoiling her grandchildren. Joan adored baseba ll and s pent her springs, summers, and falls always with a game on. Sh e was prece ded in death by the love of her life and bicker partner, Paul , and her be st friend Irmgard Uchtdorf. She is survived by her devoted d aughter Robyn , grandsons Clayton and Ben (Tori), and her beloved great-g randdaughter A ly.
