- Obituary:
POCATELLO - Althea Pond Lasley, 95, passed away on Tuesday, June 27, 200 6 , at the Portneuf Medical Center in Pocatello, Idaho. She was born Dec . 4 , 1910, in Grace, Idaho, the daughter of Lewis Sumner and Hattie Grea ve s Pond. She attended the University of Idaho and taught school for tw o ye ars in Lago, Idaho. She married Angus W. Lasley on Dec. 27, 1932, i n Loga n, Utah. Their marriage was solemnized in the Idaho Falls Temple o n Aug . 10, 1982.
She lived in Grace, Idaho, and worked for Lasley and Stalker as a bookke e per. She then lived in Salt Lake City, Utah for three years, and then m ov ed to Pocatello in 1961. She worked for C. Ed Flandro and Pocatello Do dge .
She enjoyed her family and crocheting lots of doilies for her friends a n d family. She spent the last three years at Quail Ridge Assisted Livin g , where she enjoyed many activities and outings, and was known as the " so cial butterfly" of residents.
She is survived by two daughters and two sons, Joanne (Fred) Seal of Poc a tello, Idaho, Julie (Bradley) Christensen of Mud Lake, Idaho, Brian (Vo nC ille) Lasley of Nampa, Idaho, Charles (Nancy) Lasley of Boise, Idaho ; 1 2 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchil d. S he was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, Julia Pond an d LaVe rna Fowler, and by two brothers, Keith Pond and Chase Pond.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 30, 2006, at 11 a.m., in t h e Pocatello Eighth Ward Chapel, 300 E. Chapel Rd., Pocatello.
Interment will be in the Grace, Idaho Cemetery. Arrangements are by We b b Funeral Home of Preston.
