- Obituary:
Edgar Keith Stott, age 83, passed away in Salt Lake City, April 23, 200 3 . He was born on August 23, 1919 in Rexburg, Idaho to Florence Ricks a n d Edgar L. Stott, and grew up in Douglas, Arizona. Keith enlisted in t h e army and served in the War Plans Division in Washington D.C. during W or ld War II. He later graduated in accounting following studies at BYU , Ari zona State University, and University of Denver. He worked as a CP A in Ph oenix, Los Angeles, and Salt Lake City, completing his career a s a partne r with Deloitte & Touche in 1978.
Keith was a devoted member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day S a ints, and served as a missionary in Argentina (1946 -48), as mission pr es ident of the Chile Osorno Mission (1978-81), and as president of the G uat emala M.T.C. (1988-90). A true gentleman, his life was spent in servi ce t o family, church and country. He is survived by his wife of 60 years , Pea rl Huish Stott; and sons Keith Jr. (Barbara), Kevin (Barbara), Ala n (Joan ), Steven (Susan), and Galen (Jayne), 20 grandchildren; and fiv e great-gr andchildren. He is also survived by a sister Lila Riczo; and b rothers Lyn de, Bill, and Ray Stott. He was preceded in death by a daught er Carol; an d son Brian. Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 3,1 2:00 noon, a t Wasatch Lawn Mortuary chapel, 3401 Highland Drive, where f riends may ca ll one hour prior to the services.
