WILL: "I Samuel Whipple now of Saint John's Parish in South Carolina, b u t formerly of Ashford in Connecticut, do make this my last Will and Tes ta ment. I do give and bequeath to my beloved Wife Elizabeth Whipple (i f sh e has not been Married to another Man since I left her ten Years pas t) ev ery thing I Possess of every kind of Property whatever, for and dur ing he r Life, then to go to the Heirs of her Body, but if she should b e dead o r Married again then every Property that I leave, shall go to an d be equa lly divided between my Children. And I do hereby Appoint Willia m Turpin o f Charleston to be my Executor, and direct him to collect in w hat is du e to me, and get my property all turn'd into Cash, and remit th e same i n the way that he shall think best to my Heirs. I recommend hi m to remi t it to Rufus Watterman in Providence, if Watterman be living a nd to dire ct him to pay it to my Heirs.
