This Bible was published 1836 at Hartford, Connecticut, by R. White a n d Hutchison and D. Wier. Pasted on the inside of the back cover of thi s B ible is "This Bible was left to me by my mother, Mrs. Dorcas C. Mitch el l who was a daughterernon L. Olney and Louisa Olney, /S/ Mrs. Blanch e Bos well." Mrs. Boswell died May 17. 1928, was buried May 28, 1928 at T homas , Oklahoma beside her husband, Wm. C. Mitchell. The Bible was firs t "pres ented to Louisa Whipple by her father, Stephen Whipple, Jan.12, 1 839."
