- Obituary:
Jeffery Serge Ballif, our beloved husband, father and papa, was welcom e d into the loving arms of his Savior on Saturday, June 27, 2015. He wa s b orn to Don and LaNece Ballif on February 24, 1959 in Preston, Idaho.
He served an honorable mission for his church in San Jose, California, a n d returned home to attend Brigham Young University to study software en gi neering. He married his sweetheart, Carole Ann Burton in the Logan Tem pl e on September 22, 1982. Together they raised three beautiful daughter s , and two handsome sons.
He loved spending time with family, especially his beloved grandchildre n . His giving and selfless nature drove him to serve others whenever h e ha d a spare moment. There was nothing that could stand in his way onc e he b egan a project for one of his family members or friends. He wa s a man o f integrity who had a deep love for the gospel of Jesus Christ , and coul d often be found serving in church callings or in the temple . He loved t o travel with his wife--together they enjoyed trips to Switz erland, Franc e, the Eastern States, and had a special love for Hawai’i . Jeff will be t ruly missed by all who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his father, Don Ballif, and is survived by h i s mother, LaNece, his adoring wife, Carole, daughters: Jennifer (John ) Lo tt, Kimberly (Todd) Perkins, Heather (Chris) Hadley, sons: Austin an d Rya n, grandchildren: Cameron, Carsen, Brynlee, Ellie, and Clara, two b rother s: Mark (Jill) and Todd (Lynette), four sisters: Donece (Neil) Spe ncer, V erena (Klayne) Rasmussen, Karen (Dorran) Sampson and Lisa (Steve ) Coy, an d many nieces, nephews, friends and relatives. Our lives are be tter for h aving known him, and without him, we will never be the same. W e love you , Jeff (Papa).
Viewings will be held Wednesday, July 1st from 6 to 8 pm at Russon Broth e rs Mortuary, 1941 N Main Street, Farmington, Utah and Thursday, July 2 n d from 9:30 to 10:30 am at the Kaysville West Stake Center, 1035 S Ang e l Street, Kaysville, Utah, where funeral services will follow at 11 am . I nterment will be held at Bountiful City Cemetery. In lieu of flowers , don ations can be made in the name of Jeffery Ballif at Zions Bank to h elp th e family cover funeral costs and other related expenses.
