- Obituary:
Carla Gayle Curtis Lingwall, age 73, passed away March 12, 2019 due to c o ngestive heart failure. Carla was born in Long Beach, CA on April 12, 1 94 5 to Doyle Willis Curtis and Mary Inez Jacobsen. She was the fourth o f fi ve children. She married her sweetheart, David Karl Lingwall July 9 , 196 5 in the Salt Lake Temple. David and Carla were blessed with six wo nderfu l children, Linda, Clinton, Jeanine, Steven, Nathan and Brent.
Carla was devoted to her family. Her greatest joy in life was being a wi f e, mother and grandmother. She was always thinking of ways to help, lo v e and teach them in any way she could.
Carla spent her life in service to others. She enjoyed sewing, crochetin g , knitting and made many beautiful gifts for others. She was always mak in g meals to take to those in need, or treats for those who needed chee r i n g up. She served faithfully in many callings in The Church of Jesu s Chr ist of Latter-Day Saints throughout her life and was indeed a tru e follow er of Jesus Christ.
Carla is survived by her husband David, their children, Linda Clay (Mich a el), Clinton Lingwall (Ruth Ann), Jeanine Lundell Flygare (David), Ste v e Lingwall (Kristi), Nathan Lingwall (Angela), and Brent Lingwall (Bria nn a); and 35 grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 16, 2019, at 11:00 a . m . at the L.D.S. Church at 3450 South 6400 West, West Valley City, Uta h. F riends and family may call Friday from 6-8 p.m. at L.D.S. Church a t 34 5 0 South 6400 West, and from 10:00-10:45 a.m. prior to the funera l on Satu rday. Interment will follow at the Salt Lake City Cemetery.
