- Obituary:
Pearl H. Farnham passed away July 20, 2006 at age 92 .
Born on March 31, 1914 in Phoenix, Arizona to Homer and Lucy Howard. Pea r l was the eldest of nine children. The Howard family home was in Ray, A ri zona, where Pearl attended Ray schools through high school .
Pearl is survived by sisters Jeanette Pressler of Glendale, Arizona, Mar i lyn Bell of Fresno, CA., and brother Harold Howard of New Kent, VA., al on g with many nieces and nephews.
Pearl's chosen career field of nursing led her to the University of Mich i gan at Ann Arbor to complete studies in the Nursing curriculum there. L at er in her career Pearl completed course studies in Public Health Admin ist ration and Epidemiology at Arizona State, Tempe, Arizona .
Her career charter then, for the State of Arizona, was to travel through o ut the state to monitor public health concerns and hospital standard s o f the day. Pearl remained in this assignment until she retired from t he A rizona Department of Health.
In the memories of all who knew her, Pearl will be missed.
