Originally published April 13, 2005; MESA/FREDONIA, Ariz. - Lois Busby C l uff, a long-time resident of Fredonia, Arizona, passed away on April 6 , 2 005, in Phoenix, Arizona. She had left Fredonia three years ago to l i v e with her daughter Wendy Williams in Austin, Texas after her husban d C hester passed away. She later moved to Mesa, Arizona.
Lois was born July 16, 1929 in St. David, Arizona to Gladys Julina Lofgr e en and George Melvin Busby. She married N. E. D. Whipple on June 28, 19 46 , later divorced. She married Chester Earl Cluff on August 15, 1969 i n Me sa, Arizona. He died March 16, 2002.
Lois dedicated her life in service to her family and her church calling s . She spent many years serving in the primary, on a stake mission, a fu ll -time church mission to the Family History Department in the granite v aul ts in Salt Lake City. She was an ordinance worker in the St. George T empl e, Ward Coordinator for the Family Records Extraction Program and di d dat a entry. Survivors include five children Melvin Edson and Carrie Wh ippl e of Colorado Springs, CO, Nedra and Steve Kissling of Phoenix, AZ , Don W illiam Whipple of Chandler, AZ, Joseph Dean and Heather Whipple o f Culpep per, VA, and Wendy W. and Eddie Williams of Young, AZ; sisters F ae Stou t of Palmdale, CA, and Shiela Tharp of Mesa, AZ; 18 grandchildre n and 15- 1/2 greatgrandchildren. Funeral services will be held Friday, A pril 15, 2 005 at 10:00 AM at the LDS Chapel on 532 S. Greenfield Road, M esa. Graves ide and burial services will be Saturday, April 16, 200 5 a t 9:00 AM (A Z Time) in the Fredonia Arizona Cemetery under the direc tion of Mosdell M ortuary.
