Lunt, Clessa Moffett of Safford, AZ passed away October 2, 2010, age 9 0 , in Mesa, of natural causes. Funeral services will be Saturday, Octob e r 9, at 1:00 PM, at the LDS chapel, 303 West 20th Street, Safford, AZ . Th e viewing begins at 11:00 AM. All friends are welcome. Clessa is sur vive d by 7 children: Florene Knapps of Newark, CA; Jay of Phoenix; Harol d o f Chatsworth, CA; Charles of Mesa; Keith of Mesa; Barry of Provo, UT ; an d Anthony of Safford. She is also survived by 3 sisters: Lariene Tre at o f Lakeside, AZ; Ida Birtcher of Mesa; and Effie Lehner of Albuquerqu e, NM . Clessa has 36 grandchildren and 56 great-grandchildren. Clessa wa s bor n March 10, 1920 to Lori n and Clessa Moffett in Colonia Dublan, Ch ihuahu a, Mexico. She married Waldon J. Lunt in the Mesa LDS temple Oct . 18, 193 8, and they settled on a small farm just east of Duncan, AZ. Af ter Waldo n passed away in 1959, she finished raising the children there . She move d to Safford with Anthony in 1975. She has been a faithful lif elong membe r of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and ser ved as a mis sionary from 1983 - 1985 in the Roanoke, Virginia mission.
