Ralph J. Kurtz
MARSING — Services for Ralph Jacob Kurtz, 71, of Marsing, who died Tuesd a y in a Caldwell hospital, will be conducted at the Flahiff Funeral Chap e l in Caldwell at 10 a.m. Saturday by Bishop Ted Webb of the Marsing Chu rc h of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and Eider Tex Poppino of Homeda le . Interment will be at Marsing-Homedale Cemetery .
Mr. Kurtz was born Sept, 2, 1900, in Canton, Ohio, a son of Jacob and Ma r ia Mishler Kurtz, and worked for the Navy in civil service during Worl d W ar II. He came to Idaho in 1948 and was a building contractor until 1 966 . He married Ruby F. Raymer June 26, 1949, in Winnemucca, Nev. He wor ke d for the City of Marsing as city clerk and judge, and was a deputy Ow yhe e County assessor until last January. He was a member of the Marsin g LD S Ward.
Surviving in addition to his wife are a son, Ralph Kurtz, Jr., aboard t h e USS Coontz at Newport, R.L.; a daughter, Maria Louise Kurtz at home ; tw o step-sons, Donald Vern Raymer of Nampa and Marvin Raymer, addres s unkno wn; two step-daughters, Marilyn Houseal of Milton-Freewater, Ore. , and Ma rian Bowers of Caldwell; two brothers, Howard Kurtz of Napa, Cal if., an d Lester Kurtz of Akron, Ohio.
Friends may call at the chapel Friday. Memorials may be given to the Can c er Society.
