Marsing Mayor Fred Hale
Succumbs to Heart Attack
MARSING—Fred G. Hale, 61, Marsing mayor and a member of the Owyhee Coun t y Board of Commissioners, died at his home here Sunday morning followi n g a heart attack. He had been a resident of this community for the las t 1 8 years.
Mr. Hale was born Sept. 10, 1895, in Afton, Wyo. He lived there until 19 1 5, when he moved to Emmett, Idaho, where he farmed. He was married to G en evieve Gordon on Sept. 6, 1922, in Salt Lake City. The couple lived i n Em mett until September of 1938, when they moved to Marsing .
Mr. Hale had been mayor of Marsing for the last six years. He was a sale s man for the Dobbin Implement company. A veteran of World war I. Mr. Ha l e was a member of American Legion post No. 128 of Marsing. He was a mem be r of the LDS church here.
Surviving in addition to Mrs. Hale are four daughters, Mrs. Nina Bicand i , Mrs. Maxine Watson, Mrs. Geraldine Martinat and Barbara Jeanne Hale , al l of Marsing; his father, A. Fred Hale of Emmett; three brothers, Bi ll Ha le of Sweet and Ben and Ezra Hale, both of Emmett; four sisters, Mr s. Sus ie Robinson and Mrs. Katie Sims, both or Emmett, Mrs. Hattie Broga n of Me ridian and Mrs. Nettie Morse in Washington, and seven grandchildr en.
Services will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday in the Flahiff chape l i n Caldwell with Bishop William Davis officiating. Interment will be a t Ca nyon Hill, with the Marsing American Legion post in charge.
