Keith M. Sand age 75 of Eau Galle, passed away on Tuesday September 3, 2 0 19 at the American Lutheran Nursing Home in Menomonie.
Keith was born November 17, 1943 in Durand. He was the son of Leonard a n d Lorraine (Holcomb) Sand and grew up in the Eau Galle community on th e h ome farm. He attended elementary school in Eau Galle and Durand Hig h Sch ool. After high school, Keith continued farming with his family an d even tually took over the family farm. Besides farming Keith was activ e in ma king maple syrup. He sold his syrup locally and at the Minneapol is Farme rs Market for 14 years. Keith also enjoyed hunting, fishing, pl aying car ds, spending time family and friends.
Keith is survived his second wife, Shirley of Menomonie; two sons, Mik e ( Angie Rud) Sand of Elmwood; Troy (Heather) Sand of Eau Galle; four gr andd aughters, Aubrey, Madison, McKinley, Miley; six step daughters, Pame la Ma rson, Denise Holcomb, Linda Hoyt, Michelle Roemhild, Dawn Hillstead , Cher yl Roemhild; 18 step grandchildren and 36 step great grandchildren ; a bro ther, Duane (Helene) of Utica, NY and other relatives and friends . He i s preceded in death by his parents.
A Celebration of Life will be held from 2:00 to 4:00 PM Saturday Septemb e r 14, 2019 at the Rhiel Funeral Home in Durand
