- Obituary:
Katherine "Kathy" M. Harris, age 50, of Ellsworth died Saturday, March 2 0 , 1999, at her home of natural causes.
She was born Aug. 24, 1948, in Plum City, the daughter of LeRoy and Hel e n (Eggenberger) Burgess.
She married Neal Harris Dec. 30, 1978. She retired from the Red Wing Sh o e Company in 1996 after 17 years of service.
She loved her family, flowers, birds and crafts. She was loved by all a n d was a source of strength through her adversity.
She is survived by: her husband, Neal of Ellsworth; five children, Miche l le (Eric) Hove of Goodhue, Minn., Marilyn (Paul) Lucas of Red Wing, Mar ia h Harris of St. Paul, Aaron Harris and Bryce Harris, both of Ellsworth ; g randchildren, Chanel and Robert of Goodhue, Elyse, Krista, Laticia Ho ve , all of Goodhue, Shashona and Ryan Lucas of Red Wing; father, LeRoy ( Aud rey) Burgess of Ellsworth; two sisters, Diane (Steve) Bartlett of Ba y Cit y and Donna Tutor of Hastings, Minn.; and one brother, Kevin (Conni e) Bur gess of Ellsworth.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Helen.
Services were held Tuesday, March 23, at English Lutheran Church, Ellswo r th, with Revs. Harlen Menk, Lauryl Stockness and Intern Pastor Julie Wo hl man officiating. Interment will be in the Rock Elm Cemetery.
Hill-McLaughlin Funeral Home, Ellsworth, handled arrangements.
