Reba Adams Bracken, age 86, passed away December 4, 2010, in St. Georg e , Utah.
She was born in Washington, Utah, on July 21, 1924, to Claude Jordan Ada m s and Myrtle Tullis.
She married Ronald Wallace Bracken on October 21, 1941 in Las Vegas, Nev a da. They were sealed later in the St. George LDS Temple. They started t he ir married life together working in Southern California. While Ronal d ser ved in WWII, Reba came back to Southern Utah where, after the war , they r aised their family together. They were the best of friends.
Reba loved to laugh with people. She loved her family and spent countle s s hours caring for and laughing with her grandchildren and great-grandc hi ldren. Her love and kindness extended far beyond her family. She quiet l y fed and clothed hundreds of friends and strangers without saying a wo rd .
Reba loved being on Kolob Mountain. This was a special place for her whe r e she felt closer to heaven than anywhere on earth. She enjoyed many su mm ers with family and friends on the mountain and worked hard to mak e i t a place where all felt welcome and loved.
Reba will be fondly remembered for wonderful cooking, an avid fan of t h e Utah Jazz, and her contagious laugh. She had the gift of making peop l e feel loved.
She is survived by her 3 children, Ronald (Lynda) Bracken of St. Georg e , Brenda Sanderson of Bloomington and Delwyn Bracken of St. George; 1 3 gr andchildren, 31 great-grandchildren with one on the way and 6 great- great -grandchildren; and her brother, Larry Adams of Washington, UT. Sh e is pr eceded by her parents; her husband; her brothers, Brant and Blai n e Adams ; her sister, Bonnie Milne; and great-grandson, Weston Morrell.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, December 9, 2010, at Noon at Spi l sbury Mortuary, 110 S. Bluff St. in St. George.
Friends may call before the services from 9:30 - 11:30 a.m. at the sam e l ocation.
Interment will take place in the Washington Cemetery.
