St. George, UT, Maxine Carter Freeman passed away in her sleep Saturd a y , November 12, 2011, in St. George, UT. She was born August 11, 192 4 , i n St. George, UT to Donald and LaPrele Carter. Maxine was marri e d t o Ma x Gentry, also of St. George, who preceded her in death in 197 7 . Sh e late r married Gene Freeman of Idaho, also preceding her in dea t h in 19 96.
Maxine raised and is survived by her two beautiful and talented girl s , J o lene (Kent) Rex of Chicago, Illinois and Janis Goates (Hal) of Sa l t La k e City, Utah. Her girls were the pride and joy of her life and s h e alwa y s wanted to know where they were and how they were doing. A ve r y socia l a nd loving person, Maxine found it easy to make and keep fri en ds, a ra re t alent these days. Maxine was a loving Mother, Grandmothe r , and Grea t Gran dmother. She always lent a listening ear and found ti m e to be by a nybody’ s side who needed her help.

Funeral Services will be held in her honor Wednesday, November 16, 20 1 1 , at 1:30 p.m. at SereniCare Funeral Home, 1316 S. 400 E. Suite A3, S t . G eorge, UT, 84790. A visitation will be held thirty minutes prio r t o t he f uneral service at same location. Internment will take plac e at t he T onaqu int Cemetery.
