    Obituary: Our beloved father, grandfather, brother, husband, and frien d , Robert Cloyde Anderton, CPP, left this earthly life on Tuesday, Febru ar y 22, 2022, surrounded by his family. Robert was born on July 7, 1946 , i n Salt Lake City, UT. He was a gifted debater at Bountiful High Schoo l an d served as Lieutenant in the Junior ROTC. He was a proud “Ute” grad uatin g Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Asian history from th e Univ ersity of Utah. Robert was a devout member of The Church of Jesu s Chris t of Latter-day Saints. He faithfully served a three-year missio n in Seou l, Korea and held myriad callings throughout his lifetime inclu ding his m ost recent calling as service missionary at the LDS Conferenc e Center i n Salt Lake City, UT.

    Robert was an admired professional in the contract security industry whe r e he spent over 40 years protecting celebrities, government officials , an d other high-profile individuals. An expert in his field, Robert wa s high ly sought-after for his knowledge, skill, and training prowess. H e receiv ed numerous awards, accolades, and recognition for his work bu t found th e most joy in being able to serve.

    Robert’s last act of service found him delivering valentines to friend s a nd neighbors, so they knew they were loved and cherished. Robert wa s a fr iend to everyone he met—a true example of Christ. Deeply loved an d cheris hed by his family, we will miss him dearly as his time on eart h was far t oo short.

    Robert is survived by his wife—and partner in crime—of 50 years, Shaun a ; his children Jennifer (Timothy) Hood, Jessica (David) Whipple, Jaim e (J eremiah) Clawson, James Anderton, and Joanna Eresuma; 12 grandchildr en; o ne great-granddaughter; his siblings David (Beth) Anderton and Lead awn (J ohn) Davidson. He was preceded in death by his parents Cloyde an d Dale An derton, and his sister Karen Louise Anderton.

    Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, February 28, 202 2 a t the Bountiful 45th Ward, 115 Wicker Lane, Bountiful, Utah where a v iewi ng will be held Sunday evening from 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. and again Monda y mor ning 9:45 – 10:45 a.m. prior to services. Interment will be at th e Bounti ful City Cemetery.

    Cloyde Wood Anderton (93) died at the University of Utah Medical Cente r i n Salt Lake City, Utah, on Friday, April 11, 2014. Cloyde was born o n Ma y 25, 1920, in Monroe, Utah to parents Cloyde Anderton and Gertrud e Sophi a Wood. He was the oldest of six children?three girls and three b oys. H e is survived by his daughters Karen, Bountiful, Utah and Lea Daw n Davids on (John), Tucson, Arizona; his sons Robert (Shauna), West Jorda n, Utah a nd David (Beth) Austin, Texas; seven grandchildren, twelve grea t-grandchi ldren and one great-great- grandchild. He is also survived b y his brother s Lynn and Wilmer and his sisters Fae Perkins and Louise Ha rtle. He was p receded in death by his wife Dale and his Sister Stella.

    Cloyde and Dale were married in the Manti Temple on March 29, 1940. Ov e r the years, they lived in Richfield, Utah; Glendale, California; Beave r , Utah; Twins Falls, Idaho; Salt Lake City, Utah and for nearly 58 yea r s Bountiful, Utah.

    Cloyde was fascinated from an early age with aviation and engineering. H i s Mother returned home one day to find her brand new player piano playi n g itself without a soul around. As a young child, Cloyde had connecte d hi s mother?s vacuum cleaner exhaust to the piano to provide the motiv e powe r. Around the same time, Cloyde became interested in radio. He mel ted lea d sulfide powder to smelt his own Galena crystals for use in a cr ystal ra dio set. During his high school years in Richfield, he worked a s the proj ectionist for both theaters in town. He later worked for Forse y?s Distrib uting and enjoyed some rare experiences making deliveries i n Central an d Southern Utah. He enjoyed staying at Ruby?s Inn when he wa s in that are a. In 1940 he moved to Southern California and was employe d by Lockheed A ircraft. He was working a shift at Lockheed on December 7 , 1941.

    On his return to Utah he worked for the Telluride Power Company in Beave r . His first job in broadcast radio was with KTFI in Twin Falls, Idaho . I n 1945, Cloyde, Dale and eldest daughter Karen moved to Salt Lake Cit y t o work for George Hatch and was one of the original engineers that he lpe d KALL Radio get on the air. After working at KALL for eleven years h e tr ansitioned from broadcast radio to television. He worked for KSL Tel evisi on for 33 years retiring as Chief Transmission Engineer. KSL presse d hi m back into service for one day in 2009 to turn off forever their an alo g transmitter when they switched over to the new high definition form at.

    Cloyde was a ham radio operator (call sign K7LBB). He belonged to the AR R L, IEEE, Sons of the Utah Pioneers and Sertoma.

    Cloyde was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints a n d faithfully served in various callings over his lifetime. He was als o ve ry active in genealogy and temple work. He and his wife Dale serve d a one -year Mission as locators at Church Headquarters in Salt Lake Cit y.

    Funeral services will be held on Monday, April 14, at 12:00 Noon in th e B ountiful 45th Ward Chapel located at 115 East Wicker Lane. There wil l b e a viewing at the Chapel from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. prior to the funer al s ervice. Burial will be in the Bountiful City Cemetery at the directi on o f the Russon Brothers Mortuary.     Dale Harmon Anderton died in West Jordan, Utah on Wednesday, June 6, 201 2 , at the home of her son Robert. Dale was born on July 8, 1919, in Hold en , Utah at the home of her Grandma Wood to parents, Owen Milo Harmon an d H azel Ellen Wood. She was the oldest of four children–three girls an d a bo y.

    She is survived by her husband of 72 years, Cloyde, Bountiful, Utah; h e r daughters Karen, Bountiful, Utah and Lea Dawn, West Valley City, Uta h ; her sons Robert (Shauna), West Jordan, Utah and David (Beth) Austin , Te xas; seven grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren. She is als o surv ived by her brother Stanley who still lives in Holden. She was pre ceded i n death by her Grandma and Grandpa Wood, her Grandma and Grandp a Harmon , her Mother and Father, her Sister Verl and her Sister Geniel.

    Dale and Cloyde were married in the Manti Temple on March 29, 1940. Ov e r the years, they lived in Richfield, Utah; Glendale, California; Beave r , Utah; Twin Falls, Idaho; Salt Lake City, Utah and for more than 55 ye ar s Bountiful, Utah.

    Dale's passion was rose bushes and she even did some test growing for Ja c kson Perkins of some rose bushes which weren't even named at the time . Sh e also enjoyed baking and many friends and neighbors over the year s wer e the recipients of her cakes, cinnamon rolls and brownies.

    Dale was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints a n d spent her life serving in the Primary, Relief Society and Sunday Scho ol . She was even a Den Mother in the Cub Scouts years ago.

    Dale spent many years in sales of one kind or another. Many people remem b er the Fridays and Saturdays she spent at Dick's in Centerville demonst ra ting various products (mostly the edible kind). Grown adults came up t o h er years later and related that they could remember going shopping t o Dic k's with their moms or dads and having her feed them a piece of ho t dog o r pizza. She spent time all over the valley in many of the grocer y store s demonstrating food products and she enjoyed that job more tha n many o f the others.

    Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, June 12, 2012 at 12:00 noo n i n the Bountiful 45th Ward Chapel located at 115 East Wicker Lane. The re w ill be a viewing at the chapel from 10:45 to 11:45 a.m. prior to th e fune ral service. Burial will be in the Bountiful City Cemetery
