    • Birth: Idaho, Birth Index, 1861-1912, Stillbirth Index, 1905-1962

Death: U.S., Social Security Death Index, 1935-2014

Grandpa was a retired police officer and my siblings tell me that he could at times be a little grouchy, because he worked hard and didn't want to be disturbed (or have his programs be interrupted) when all the grandkids came over. However, since I looked so much like him, I believe I was slightly favored of him. I was always welcomed to his lap from an early age, and it became my favorite resting place as he watched his shows until I was too old for such behaviors to be socially acceptable. As I grew older, I loved to explore my Great Aunt's bedroom (she had the most beautiful dressing table with pretty perfumes!) and play in the "toy/family room" (converted garage).
