PROMOTED TO GLORY - SISTER MRS. DELL, - FOOTSCRAY, VIC. - The Corps and district of Footscray recently suffered loss in the promotion to Glory of Sister Mrs. Envoy Dell. This comrade was loved by all, and her life was filled with holy service for God and The Army. After a long and patiently borne sickness, God took her to be with Himself. Funeral services were conducted by the Corps Officers. At the grave-side after prayer by Captain H. Preston, sister Mrs. Palmer, of Moreland, spoke feelingly. Brother Carnell, in speaking for the family, referred to her strong Christian Influence. On Christmas Sunday the memorial service was conducted. This was largely attended, and sincere tributes were paid to the memory of a true Soldier. Sister Mrs. Young spoke on behalf of the Songster Brigade, and Mr. T. McGraw sang a requested solo. On behalf of the Home League, Mrs. Adjutant Parkinson also paid tribute, and Young People's Sergeant-Major A. Fanner preceded his words by singing a favorite song of the departed warrior. The address was given by the Corps Officer, and during the Prayer-meeting which followed six persons sought salvation.
