Lois Turpin, mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother, great great-grandmother and friend passed away May 20, 1999 in Salt Lake City, Utah at age 91.
Lois was born in Fillmore, Utah on July 15, 1907 to James William and Louie Giles. On August 29, 1938 she married Randal L. Turpin in Monticello, Utah. He preceded her in death June 20, 1956.
She raised her children to be a large and close family. She shared the love of out-doors and hunting with her family. Member of the LDS Church. She had a great sense of humor, unconditional love and great sense of adventure. She was a great cook and truly loved all her children and great-grandchildren. Her talent in sewing and crocheting was unparalleled. She made wedding dresses for many of her children and grandchildren. She was everybody's best friend. She wanted to experience everything life had to offer.
Survived by: son, Randal J. (Marion) Turpin; four daughters, Lois (Keith) Martin, Camille (Ross) Bradshaw, Linda (Chris) Christensen, Jean (Alan) Sterzer; 20 grandchildren, 78 great-grandchildren, 12 great great-grandchildren; sister, Kathlyn Junker, brothers, Dell Frampton and Bertis Frampton (Beth). Preceded in death by daughter, Una Loy Keith; sister, Merl Frampton; brothers, Vernon Frampton and Giles Frampton; grandson, Randall Scott Turpin and great-granddaughter, Nicole Kitchen.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, May 25, 1999, 12 noon at Larkin Mortuary, 260 East South Temple, where friends may call Tuesday 10 to 11:45 a.m. Interment, Salt Lake City Cemetery.
